Live recording of a collective creative intervention performed at the LIMINAL Lab’s 2-day ‘Lexicon II – Hostility and Infrastructures of Care’ event in London, February 2025, hosted by Turf Projects in Croydon. Artistic collaboration and co-production with Rachel Margetts. LIMINAL is an international and interdisciplinary laboratory investigating intersectional (im-)mobilities and border violence, based in the University of Bologna’s Department of the Arts.

(Re)thinking with care: ethics, aesthetics, practice workshop

Reflections from a creative workshop at Birkbeck, University of London, on 8th May 2025, by Dr. Olivia Sheringham and Rebekka Hölzle titled “(Re)thinking with care: ethics, aesthetics, practice”. What are the relationships between care and creativity; between care and power? What is care, what are its limits? (Why) should we be thinking about care in the contemporary moment? It seems that care is everywhere, but where does it begin and end? Does this omnipresence mean it is no longer a useful concept? Should we still be thinking about care – and if so, why?
