Creative facilitation work
I have many years of experience in creative group facilitation and inclusive engagement work with diverse communities. Together with my colleague and friend Tamara Astor, who is a theatre practitioner we are offering facilitation of creative projects with community groups. Most recently, we have for example facilitated a series of song-writing workshops for Creating Grounds, a London-based association working with migrant women in the arts. We helped the group write a song for their on-going #NoticeUs campaign on temporary accommodations, which we then performed at an event during the 2024 London mayoral elections. Other past projects included a co-produced video project to improve access to information about immigration laws and a community arts project with a story-telling and quilt and zine during the COVID 19 pandemic with the South London Refugee Association.
Academic, artistic collaborations
I love collaborative work and am keen to explore new partnerships and exchange with other activists, artists, academics, and community practitioners around the issues of resistance against (b)order(ing) violence, the intersections of immigration and welfare systems, creative research methods, and inclusive and transformative community practice. If you share these interests and have come across my research and creative outputs, such as the ‘Pockets of Togetherness – Tales of resistance‘ Zine, I would love to hear your feedback and ideas and be in dialogue with each other.
